The American Standard 2034.014.020 Champion-4 Right Height One-Piece Elongated Toilet toilet is a champion toilet in many ways. It came out as one of the top toilets to buy in my toilet comparison because of its powerful flush, good looks and easy maintenance. Let’s have a closer look at it with this American Standard Champion 4 toilet review.
American Standard Champion 4 toilet review
1. Features
ADA compliant
The American Standard 2034.014.020 Champion-4 Right Height One-Piece Elongated Toilet is an American Standard Comfort Height toilet which means it’s suitable for tall people and people with physical challenges as well as people of average height. With a bowl height of about 16.5″, it’s just ADA compliant, making it comfortable for smaller people as well – although they might prefer a standard height toilet.
Elongated bowl
The Champion 4’s elongated toilet bowl adds to the comfort. As is the case with many toilets, this American Standard toilet doesn’t come with the seat included. This means you can pick your own seat and either cut down on costs a bit with that choice or go for something ergonomic and soft-closing. It’s up to you.
EverClean surface
The Champion 4’s toilet bowl has an EverClean surface. This glazing technology stops bacteria and mold from growing on the inside of the bowl and also prevents mildew. This doesn’t just mean that your bowl stays cleaner for longer, it also means it’ll be easier to clean when you have to.
One-piece design
The toilet’s one-piece design makes it easy to clean on the outside as well as there’s no crack between the bowl and the tank where dirt and water waste can gather. An additional benefit of getting a one-piece toilet is that it’s easier to install as the tank and bowl are already attached to each other.
4″ accelerator flush valve
But nothing’s more important than a toilet’s flushing power, right? Well, the Champion 4 is definitely an American Standard power flush toilet. It’s able to dispose of a mass that’s 70% bigger than what the industry standard is and is equipped with a 4″ accelerator flush valve to get that job done faster than any other toilet.
While the Champion 4 does use 1.6 GPF – more than the very water saving 1.28 GPF but still environmental-friendly – it uses it well. Water goes down all around the bowl in less than a second, taking down all waste.

3. Pros
Quick and quiet yet powerful flushing
Thanks to its large valve and powerful siphon jet flush system, the Champion 4 gets rid of waste fast and it does so in a quiet way. Refilling happens quietly as well, which means it’s not a problem if suddenly everybody needs to go at once.
Stylish design
The American Standard Champion 4’s one-piece design fits just about everywhere, looking modern without being explicitly present. The chrome handle adds a touch of luxury.
Easy to install
Thanks to being a one-piece, the Champion 4 is also pretty easy to install. All you need to do is fit it right where it needs to stand, as the tank and bowl already make up one whole.
4. Cons
While the flush does a great job of flushing down all of the waste, the low water level in this toilet does mean that the bottom of the bowl isn’t always entirely clean after doing #2.
Additionally, a few customers have had issues with the toilet not being level at the base.
Lastly, as this toilet uses 1.6 GPF, it can’t be used in States such as California, where the maximum allowed is 1.28 GPF.
5. Summary
The American Standard 2034.014.020 Champion-4 Right Height One-Piece Elongated Toilet is a great toilet for those who’re looking for a comfortable sit and good flushing power. If you want to save on water or live in a State that has a maximum GPF limit of 1.28, this toilet isn’t for you though. In that case, have a look at the other toilets we recommend.
